Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad signs MoU with Adaro Water on water technology exchange

Private water company Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIRB) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jakarta-based PT Adaro Tirta Mandiri (Adaro Water) to exchange technology to tap into the Indonesian and Malaysian markets, particularly in the areas of water reclamation, non-revenue water (NRW) and wastewater.

AIR Berhad, which is a member of MMC Corporation Berhad, is principally involved in operation and maintenance activities as well as the construction and management of water reclamation plants and provision of NRW reduction programmes.

Adaro Water’s main business is the construction of water treatment plants via a concession business model and reducing NRW via a performance-based contract.

The MoU was signed by AIR Berhad CEO Adam Saffian Ghazali and Ahmad Rosyid, president director of Adaro Water. Also present during the session were Datuk Seri Dr Zaini Ujang, president of Malaysia Water Association Dr Hj Asari Daud, Informa Markets Malaysia co-chairman General Tan Sri Panglima Mohd Azumi Mohamed (Rtd) and MMC Corporation Berhad group chief financial officer Badrulhisyam Fauzi.

The signing ceremony took place during the 12th edition Asiawater Expo and Forum at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre on Dec 8.
