Adam Saffian Ghazali
Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Adam Saffian Ghazali is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIRB), a member of MMC Group. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (FCA, ANZ) and Chartered Accountants of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (CA, M). Adam holds a Bachelor of Business Degree (with Credit), double major in Accounting & Finance from the University of Technology Sydney, a Postgraduate Master of Applied Taxation from the University of New South Wales. He started his career with
PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was trained in providing audit services to companies within financial services industry. He proceeded to join Bumiputra Commerce Bank where he specialised in the Investigation and Credit Audit functions within the Internal Audit Department.
Adam has over 20 years of experience in the provision of accounting, taxation and internal audit services with the last 14 years concentrated heavily in the corporate finance function. Prior to joining AIRB, he was the Chief Financial Officer of Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad (PAAB) where he was responsible for the management and supervision of corporate advisory, accounting, treasury and lease management functions. Adam was previously a Non-Executive Director of Indah Water Konsortium (IWK). He is also the Chairman of the Management Committee, Risk Management Committee and Tender Award Committee of AIRB. Adam is currently the Honorary Treasurer General of The Malaysian Water Association (MWA).
Head of Finance
Hamizah Hussein graduated from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) with Bachelor in Accountancy (Hons.) She also owns a Master in Business Administration from the same university.
Previously, in 2008, Hamizah Hussien served as the Senior Manager in Finance of MMC Corporation Berhad and also managing MMC Engineering from 2010 to 2012. In the mid of 1993 to 2007, she was the Head of Finance and Accounts of Sri Damansara Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary of Land & General Berhad and as an auditor at Coopers & Lybrand in 1990 to 1993.
Currently, she is the member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (Chartered Accountant) and serves as Head of Finance of Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad.
Head of Operation
Paramaswaran A/L Ramasamy is the General Manager of Aliran Utara Sdn Bhd, a subsidiary company of Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIRB). He holds a Master Degree in Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Total Quality Management (TQM) from Newport University USA and was admitted a member of The Malaysian Institute of Quality Assurance (MMIQA) in March 2001. His technical background is in Mechanical & Electrical engineering and he holds Certificate in Electrical Engineering (Power) from Ungku Omar Polytechnic.
He started his career in 1983 with SMHB Consulting Engineers as Inspector of works and was assigned to supervise M&E installation, testing and commissioning of Sg Semenyih Water Supply Scheme project covering construction of dam, intake, water treatment works (plant capacity 120mgd) and balancing reservoirs.
In 1989 he joined with Antah Biwater JV as M&E Site Supervisor and was assigned to lead the M&E team in the Rural Water Supply Scheme projects covering Selangor, Negeri Sembilan, Melaka & Johor states.
In 1992 he rejoined with SMHB Consulting Engineers as M&E Coordinator and was assigned to oversee Langkawi Water Supply Scheme Immediate Works project for the preparation of the biennial international event LIMA’ 93.
In 1994 he joined with GSL Water Sdn Bhd and was posted to Gunung Semanggol WTP as Plant Supervisor. He served with GSL Water Sdn Bhd until 2011 as Operation Manager and continued with Aliran Utara Sdn Bhd as Head of Operation after taking over of the plant operation and maintenance from GSL Water Sdn Bhd in 2011. During his tenure with GSL Water Sdn Bhd, he played a vital role in the establishment and implementation of company-wide ISO 9001 QMS and safety management system.
In 2016 he was promoted to General Manager to oversee the management of operation and maintenance of Gunung Semanggol and Taiping Headworks WTP.
Joceline Lim Pai June
Head of Business Development
Joceline Lim Pai June graduated from University Putra Malaysia with a Bachelor Degree (Honors) of Chemical Engineering which later she continued her studies at Royal Melbourne Institute Technology (RMIT) in 2010 for Master of Business and Administration (MBA).
Astoundingly, she has about 16 years of experience in securing Engineering, Procurement, Construction & Commissioning (EPCC) water and wastewater treatment turnkey projects. With an experience in cross-cultural sales and business development experiences covering Malaysia, Singapore, Australia, Thailand and China, she is currently holding a position as Senior Manager of Business Development for Aliran Utilities Sdn Bhd (AUSB) specializing industrial water business division.
Joceline specializes in securing project and contract sales - design, build, operate, own (DBOO) and design, build, operate, transfer (DBOT) of industrial water, wastewater, recycle water and renewable energy projects, including process design of Ultrapure Water (UPW), wastewater treatment system for semiconductor, microelectronics, power plants and pharmaceuticals industry. Further, she is also specializing in process design, marketing and technology application of Closed-Circuit Reverse Osmosis (CCRO) system. Industry coverage: Water, Power, Environmental Industry.
In 2017, Joceline was invited as a speaker in Astana World Expo, as Malaysia delegates and also representing group of company to present two topics: (1) Introduction of Group companies’ businesses and capability in utilities industry, and (2) Green Initiatives Project of wastewater recycling and the technologies. In the same year, she was invited to be a speaker for Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), sharing the importance of water recycling, the technologies and project showcase.
Amazingly, Joceline has 3 years as manager and 4 years as senior manager, leading a team consists of business development, project personnel, operation and maintenance team in Aliran. She also owned 6 years of manager experience, leading tender & process department, sales & marketing department in Enersave Malaysia, to provide technical sales supports to subsidiaries based in Singapore, Thailand, China and Australia. In addition, Joceline has 2 years of experience as country manager for Enersave Engineering Systems Singapore.
Ahmad Dzuhri Jaafar
Head of Engineering
Ahmad Dzuhri Jaafar started his career in 2008 with a General Electric (GE) Company specialising in water treatment especially in membrane application. He graduated in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia and has completed his Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the same university in the year 2020. Dzuhri has over 10 years of experience in Industrial Water Treatment be it in the operation & maintenance, system design and its business landscape. Dzuhri is currently the Honorary Treasurer General of The Friends of River Malaysia (FoRM) and is actively participating with various stakeholders for the National River Trail Program.
David Soo Soon Jin
Head of Supply Chain
David is the manager, Corporate Finance at Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIRB), a member of MMC Group when he joined AIRB on 16 October 2017.
He has over 16 years of experience in water industry in areas related to project financing and corporate finance for water related projects. Prior to joining AIRB, he was attached with Ranhill Holdings Berhad (Ranhill) where he involved in the corporate finance activities including project financing, asset divestment and supported business development activities through financial modelling, project structuring and business valuation. Prior to joining Ranhill, he was also attached with PricewaterhouseCoopers Advisory Services Sdn Bhd (PwC) where he involved in the business recovery unit. Prior to his career with PwC, he had a short stint with Hong Leong Finance Berhad where he was attached with the internal audit department.
David holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting and Finance and a Diploma in Economics from the University of London. David is currently assisting in the procurement function of AIRB.
