Equiventures Sdn. Bhd.

Equiventures Sdn Bhd (ESB) was awarded the concession contract for the supply of potable water to the Johor Bahru district. The concession was to build, operate and transfer water treatment facilities with a tenure of 20 years. The concession entails an investment of RM750 million for the construction of new facilities.

 

At the time, Johor Bahru district main production facilities were insufficient to meet the increasing water demand for domestic as well as industrial use in the distribution area. The main objective of the concession is to guarantee sufficient supply of drinking water to the Johor Bahru district by improving on the existing operations, complemented by the setting up of a new system.
