In 2005, Aliran Ihsan Resources Berhad (AIR Bhd) as an investment holding company, acquired the entire equity stake in Southern Water Corporation Sdn Bhd (SWC) with its two subsidiary companies, Southern Water Technology Sdn Bhd (SWT) and Southern Water Engineering Sdn Bhd (SWE). Concurrently, AIR Bhd further acquired two associate companies; Equiventures Sdn. Bhd. (ESB) and Strategi Tegas (M) Sdn Bhd (STSB).

AIR Bhd group of companies is principally involved in the water treatment industry, providing a wide spectrum of water related services including operations and maintenance to rehabilitation and restoration works through its subsidiaries and associates companies.

 

AIR Bhd principal subsidiary SWC currently operate and manage fourteen (14) water treatment plants in four (4) districts namely Segamat, Kluang, Muar and Batu Pahat in the State of Johor Darul Takzim. The combined design capacities of the fourteen (14) water treatment plants are 480 million litres per day (MLD). The water treatment plants are currently producing approximately 365 MLD which is about 76% of the combined design capacities.

 

In the district of Johor Bahru, ESB an associated company of AIR Bhd operates two (2) water treatment plants. The combined design capacities of the two (2) water treatment plants are 636 MLD. The two (2) water treatment plants are producing approximately 515 MLD which amounts to about 81% of the combined design capacities.

 

Collectively, the AIR Bhd group of companies supplies in excess of 75% of the treated water to the consumers in the State of Johor Darul Takzim.
